About Kristin

Teaching & serving others is central to Kristin's life. Nearly every job she has held, from swim instructor to nature counselor to camp director, has involved coaching others & encouraging their growth. This passion translated into her career as an English & theatre teacher. For over a decade, she worked at a high school in the suburbs of Philadelphia. In the fall of 2021, Kristin transitioned to school counseling. She loves working with adolescents and is passionate about advocating for student mental health. She is currently accruing hours for her LPC (licensed professional counselor) certification.

Kristin discovered yoga during her college years. Although the intentional movements & spiritual origins of the practice interested her, it wasn't until several years later when she began a regular practice. During a challenging personal and professional transition, yoga provided her with grounding & stability when other aspects of her life seemed unsteady.

Kristin completed her 200-hr yoga training in 2017 with Lisa and Dorian Mitchell of Dana Hot Yoga. Since then, she has participated in several trauma-informed yoga trainings. Her goal is to make the asana practice safe & accessible for all.
